Three goal burst leads to Plattsburgh win over Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Visiting no. 7 ranked Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey put together a three-goal burst in the second and third period of Saturday afternoon's SUNYAC play against host SUNY Morrisville, capturing the 7-0 win on the Mustangs home ice.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting no. 7 ranked SUNY Plattsburgh scored three times in each the second and third period of Saturday's SUNYAC play at host SUNY Morrisville, handing the Mustangs the 7-0 loss in league action.
  • Morrisville was able to hold the Cardinals to just one tally in the first, a goal that came at the 15:23 mark to second the game into the first intermission with a 1-0 deficit.
  • That remained until a three-goal burst by the Cardinals midway through the second period, as they collected the three tallies over the course of five minutes time in the frame.
  • Their second tally came at the 9:14 mark, before adding another just over a minute later, capping off the period scoring with a power play goal at 14:58.
