POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Visiting Wheaton College rallied from a two-set deficit to even the match with the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs at two, before the Mustangs claimed the 3-2 match win with the decision in the fifth set.

• SUNY Morrisville held a 2-0 set lead Saturday afternoon and withstood a match rally from Wheaton College as they claimed the 3-2 match win on the second day of action at the Vassar College tournament in Poughkeepsie.
• Morrisville claimed the 2-0 match lead with set wins of 25-18 and 25-17, using a .37+ hitting effort at the net to jump out in front.
• Wheaton battled back, claiming wins over the next two sets by two-point margins, before Morrisville was able to withstand the match rally with a 15-11 victory in the final set to take the win.
• Morrisville jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the final set before Wheaton tied it at nine, taking advantage of Mustang hitting errors.
• A kill from Olson gave the Mustangs a one-point lead, but that was equally matched by Wheaton on the next point.
• Two straight kills by the Mustang senior outside hitters extended the Morrisville lead to two, before Sheasby served up an ace to lift the Mustangs to a 13-10 advantage.
• A service error by Wheaton gave Morrisville the opportunity to put the contest away on the following service, which they did, as Sheasby recorded the kill for the match victory.
• Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, Tex.) and Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) each collected double digit kills, Huppee leading the way with 22 as she hit .375 from the floor across the match.
• Olson collected 15 to go along with two solo blocks, while Huppee also contributed 14 digs and three aces to the win.
• Cassandra Bellmore (Windsor, N.Y.) posted 28 assists to go along with six digs and eight kills, with fellow setter Samantha Mehler (Cummings, Ga.) adding another 13 assists.
• Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) collected 16 digs with freshman defensive specialist Kylie Hutchinson (Liberty Hill, Tex.) posted 12, also serving up two aces and two assists.
