  • Junior Kendal Kalinowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) led the Mustang charge with three tallies for her first collegiate hat trick, while four additional teammates contributed to the scoring with one goal apiece.
  • Emma Thompson (Ingleside, Ont.) had a three-point outing with her one goal and two assists, while Hailee Easson (Okotoks, Alta.) added two points, netting one and assisting another.
  • Meadow Clarke (Middlesackville, N.S.) posted a tally, alongside Allicen Bouchard (Rockford, Ill.) who picked up the short-handed goal.
  • Senior Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) recorded the win in net for the hosts, collecting 20 saves across three periods of play.
  • After a scoreless opening period, the hosts put two tallies up on the board quick, the first at the 3:25 mark as Clarke registered the power play one-timer from the center of the zone off the feed from senior Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) and Allie Davidson (Niagara Falls, Ont.).
  • Within seconds, Easson made it a 2-0 game putting away the chip after receiving the puck from defensemen Thompson and Kate Mabey (Guelph, Ont.) at the 3:42 mark.
  • Kalinowski collected her first of the day 14:13 into the period on the power play for the Mustangs over the pads of the Bengals netminder, and within seconds Thompson extended the lead to four with one of her own off the feed from McDonald and senior Kennedy Kirkby (Prescott, Ont.).
  • Carrying the 4-0 advantage into the final frame, Kalinowski posted her second 3:02 in off the dish from Davidson and Thompson, before adding her third to complete her hat trick performance at the 8:07 mark off the assist from Easson.
  • Buffalo State broke up the host scoring midway through the period with their first of two at the 10:10 mark, but the momentum was short lived as Bouchard intercepted the puck and skated into the offensive zone to put away the short handed tally for a 7-1 Mustang lead.
