Strong First Half Leads Morrisville to Win



Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team took on University of Maine Farmington Saturday afternoon in North Atlantic Conference Play.  The Mustangs would use a 53-point first half to pull ahead and to hold onto a 90-79 win.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • With the win the Mustangs winning streak improves to 12 straight games.
  • Morrisville shot a strong 62.2% from the field in the first half as the team was 23-37 from the field and 7-12 from behind the arc.
  • Daimarr Miller (Syracuse, N.Y.)  led the Mustangs in scoring as he shot 7-10 from the field, 2-4 from behind the arc, and 4-5 from the free throw line for 20 points.
  • Kareem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) would have a strong game as he finished with 13 points and a team high 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while teammate Shaheem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.)  finished with 14 points and pulled down a team high 8 rebounds.
  • Brandon Kulakowski (Brewerton, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 14 points as he shot 4-7 from the field, 4-5 from the 3-point line, and 2-6 from the free throw line, while teammate Jakhi Lucas (Rochester, N.Y.) scored 8 points, pulled down 8 rebounds, and dished out 8 assists.
