Mustangs Too Much For Badgers in Conference Win



Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team picked up their 14th straight win as they took down NVU-Johnson in conference play on Friday night.  The Mustangs held onto a big first half lead as they would finish with a 88-72 win.

  • Records: Morrisville 15-2, 6-0 NAC,  Johnson 2-16, 0-6 NAC
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • Mustangs would jump out to a 14-point first half lead as they would shoot 48.6% from the field and 40% from the 3-point line.  They would keep things going in the second half as they would extend the lead to 22 points and would finish with a 88-72 win.
  • The Mustangs would continue to share the ball as they would finish with 29 assists in the game.
  • Jacob Works (Liverpool, N.Y.) led the Mustangs in scoring as he would finish with 15 points to go a long with 4 assists.
  • Kareem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) would record a double-double as he would score 14 points to go along with a team high 11 rebounds.  Sanders would also finish with 5 assists and a team high 3 blocks.
  • Shaheem Sanders 9Schenectady, N.Y.) shot 7-9 from the field for 14 points while also pulling down 8 rebounds, while teammate Brandon Kulakowski (Brewerton, N.Y.) would also finish with 14 points for the Mustangs.
  • Daimarr Miller (Syracuse, N.Y.) shot 5-10 from the field and 3-6 from behind the arc for 13 points.  Miller would also finish with a team high 5 assists.
