Mustangs Offense tKeeps Rolling in Win Over Golden Eagles



Brockport, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team had a dominate first half on offense as the Mustangs would out score the Golden Eagles 52-32 in the first half.  The 20 point lead would be enough has the Mustangs would old onto the win 94-84.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • In a strong first half the Mustangs would shot 50 % (17-34) from the field, 40% (4-10) from three point line, and 82% (14-17) from the free throw line.  The Mustangs would continue to shoot strong from inside the three point line in the second half s they would go 15-28 for 54% from the field.
  • The Mustangs would also have a strong effort on the defensive end as the team finished with 7 blocks and 11 steals.
  • Shykell Brown (Rochester, N.Y.) led the Mustangs in scoring as he shot 10-15 from the field, 6-9 from the three point line, and 3-4 from the free throw line for 29 points.  Brown would also finish with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals.
  • Jakhi Lucas (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded a double-double as he finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Lucas would lead the team with 11 rebounds and would also lead the team with 6 assists to go along with team high 4 steals
  • Shaheem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) would shoot 7-9 from the field and 1-1 from the free throw line for 15 points, while teammate Daimarr Miller (Syracuse, N.Y.) finished with 10 points and 4 assists.
