MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's ice hockey team allowed four unanswered third period goals Saturday afternoon as they fell to no. 3 nationally ranked SUNY Plattsburgh by a 6-0 final score in SUNYAC play in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Nationally ranked no. 3 SUNY Plattsburgh scored four times in the third period to topple the host Morrisville Mustangs by a 6-0 final score in SUNYAC women's hockey action in Morrisville Saturday.
• Morrisville held the Cardinals scoreless for 38 minutes of play before Plattsburgh was able to break through the Mustangs defensive stance.
• Plattsburgh's first tally came at the 18:20 mark of the second, before adding another just a minute later to carry the 2-0 advantage into the intermission break.
• In the third, Plattsburgh added a third tally at the 6:03 mark, before posting back-to-back scores late in the period as the Cardinals took the 5-0 lead.
• Plattsburgh added a final strike in the last minute of play, claiming the shut-out win.
• Ellie Timby (Getzville, N.Y.) recorded the loss in net, despite a 43-save effort that included 17 stops in the second period of action.
