MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The United East conference office announced its 2021-22 Scholar-Athlete honorees, selecting 46 from SUNY Morrisville for the prestigious academic honor.
A total 709 student-athletes league wide were selected, representing conference wide sports in soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross country, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, golf and softball.
To qualify for the accolade, student-athletes must be in good standing with the institution and maintain an academic year grade point average of a 3.40 or greater, while participating in a league sponsored sport.
"Once again, I'm incredibly pleased with the academic accomplishments of our student-athletes," said Matt Grawrock, SUNY Morrisville Director of Athletics.
"Together our United East student-athletes have demonstrated their commitment to success on and off the fields of competition, evident by several intercollegiate programs averaging over a 3.0 cumulative grade point average across the academic year.
"We continue to work hard to provide our student-athletes the best overall experience possible, and the acknowledgement of this academic honor by the league office shows our ongoing dedication as a department to their overall success at SUNY Morrisville."
