Box Score POTSDAM, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse team boosted their overall record to 4-2 Saturday afternoon as they withstood a late comeback Potsdam attempt to claim the 8-6 non-conference win in Potsdam.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse withstood a comeback attempt by the host Potsdam Bears Saturday afternoon to hold on for a 8-6 non-conference win in Potsdam.
• Chris Picciott (Brewerton, N.Y.) and Dante Patriarco (Cortland, N.Y.) led the Mustang efforts with two goals apiece.
• Luke Strong (Rochester, N.Y.) added one goal to go along with two assists, collecting five ground balls across the contest, while Roman Reiss (LaFayette, N.Y.) added another score to the Mustang totals.
• Savion Williams (Peekskill, N.Y.) notched one alongside Gerald Klubek (Eden, N.Y.).
• Dylan LaPlace (Chester, Conn.) stopped 15 in the win for the Mustangs, including four in the final quarter of action.
• Zack Mabry (Suffern, N.Y.) picked up a team high nine ground balls and caused two turnovers in the defensive efforts, while Soren Bredeson (Eagle, Colo.) went 9-for-15 from the center x.
• Morrisville rattled off the first six scores of the contest, claiming the 6-0 lead early on in the third.
• Patriarco and Strong each posted tallies in the opening frame, before Williams added to the lead in the second midway through with an unassisted score.
• Patriarco posted his second of the game on the extra man to give the visitors the 4-0 edge at the break.
• Reiss and Picciott rattled off two tallies for the Mustangs in the opening two minutes of the third, before Potsdam was able to put two of their own on the board.
• Picciott collected his second of the game on the EMO and Klubek followed with one of his own with 2:58 to go, giving Morrisville the six-goal cushion.
• Potsdam collected an unassisted score in the closing minutes of the third, cutting the Mustang lead to five heading into the final frame of play.
• In an attempt to post a comeback, Potsdam collected three scores, but was stopped short as Morrisville withstood the late rally to collect the win.
