Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The SUNY Morrisville softball team opened the 2022 season Monday midday at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic in Myrtle Beach, falling in the first of the day's action by an 11-0 final in five innings to Worcester State.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Worcester State posted two runs each in the first and second innings before adding three more to their tallies in the fourth with a mid-game rally.
• The Lancers capitalized on their bat extension in the fifth, adding four more to claim the 11-0 win over the Mustangs, as they collected a total 17 hits and 11 RBI's while holding Morrisville scoreless.
• Morrisville posted four hits, two off the bat of Hannah Godfrey (Southgate, Mich.) who went 2-for-2 from the plate.
• Toni Baker (Pittsgrove, N.J.) added her first hit of the season with a 1-for-2 performance, while Maria Santilli (Bristol, Conn.) went 1-for-3.
• Kellina Murphy (Yonkers, N.Y.) threw five innings in the loss for the Mustangs, allowing 11 earned runs, while striking out three.
• Worcester put two up on the board on a single shot to left center in the top of the first inning, before again adding two ore on a signle to left field in the second.
• Morrisville held the Lancers scoreless in the third, but in the top of the fourth, Worcester State added three to their total, including one after a double shot to left center field.
• Worcester added to their total in the fifth with four additional scores, each on single hits.
• Molly Glynn threw on the mound for the Lancers, striking out five while allowing four hits.
