MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville Women's Hockey team picked up a Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) victory on Tuesday night 9-2 over the Buffalo State Bengals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The tandem of Allie Davidson (Niagara Falls, Ont.) and Allicen Bouchard (Rockford, Ill.) sparked the Mustangs' offensive attack early in the contest.
- Davidson picked up the hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the conference match up. Bouchard notched the assists on all three tallies.
- Rhys Brown (Kemptville, Ont.) put the Mustangs up by four with her 8th goal of the season at the 13:41 mark in the second. Emma Thompson (Ingelside, Ont.) and Gwyneth Pritchard (Saskatoon, Sask.) picked up the assists.
- Buffalo State got on the board in the 18th minute of play, but the Mustangs responded just over a minute later when Bouchard found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal. Davidson picked up the first assist on the play, while Sierra Voeller (Penticton, B.C.) was credited with the second assist.
- Up 5-1 in the third, Morrisville continued to find the back of the net.
- Pritchard tallied her fourth goal of the season at the 3:25 mark, while Brown banged home her second goal of the game at the 10:40 mark.
- The Bengals picked up their second goal at the 13:18 mark.
- However, the Mustangs responded 8 seconds later with Pritchard's second goal of the contest. Brown and Julianna Giacobbo (St. Albert, Alta.) assisted.
- Morrisville rounded out their scoring in the 16th minute of the third period when Madison Tomkins (Windsor, Ont.) recorded her first collegiate tally. Hailee Easson (Okotoks, Alta.) and Logyn Nyitrai (Acton, Ont.) recorded the assists.
- Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) recorded 12 saves in the 9-2 win.
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS
The Mustangs will have the weekend off and return to the ice on Tuesday, February 8 for a 4 PM puck drop against the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons in another NEWHL contest.
