CLINTON, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's ice hockey team dropped a 3-1 non-conference cross town battle with host no. 13 ranked Hamilton College Tuesday afternoon as they head into the Thanksgiving break.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's hockey dropped a 3-1 non-conference decision Tuesday afternoon to host and no. 13 nationally ranked Hamilton College in a cross-town battle on the Continentals home ice.
• Morrisville kept the hosts off the board until the 9:30 mark of the first period when a Continental tally sparked a three-goal spurt by the hosts to jump out in front 3-0 15 minutes in.
• Hamilton carried the three-goal advantage into the first intermission.
• Morrisville was able to get one on the board late in the second, with Allie Davidson (Niagara Falls, Ont.) sniping the puck inside the right post from near the blue line off the passes from Allicen Bouchard (Rockford, Ill.) and Kendra Johnston (St. Albert, Alta.).
• The Mustangs held Hamilton scoreless throughout the second and third periods of play behind the effort of goaltender Maggie Jones (Marystown, N.L.) who collected 27 saves over the final 39:49 of the contest.
• Emma Plett (Gunthral, Man.) recorded the loss in net, turning away 14 in the first 15 minutes of the contest.
