Box Score OSWEGO, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville Women's Hockey team traveled to Oswego State on Friday night for a key Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) contest. Unfortunately, the Mustangs fell on the road 2-1.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs fell behind early after a Lakers' goal in the 12th minute of the first period.
- Morrisville picked up a big opportunity to equalize in the next minute of play as Oswego was called for a cross checking penalty. Unfortunately, the visitors were unable to convert the extra skater advantage into a goal.
- The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Lakers after a scoreless second period.
- The Mustangs wasted little time in the third when Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) notched the equalizer on a wrap-around just 39 seconds into the final twenty.
- The Lakers took the lead back in the 15th minute of play in the third with a power play tally.
- The Mustangs were unable to respond, and the score ended 2-1 in favor of Oswego State.
- Emma Plett (Grunthal, Man.) suffered the hard luck loss despite turning away 53 shots.
