ERIE, P.A. – The SUNY Morrisville's men's soccer team lost the opening game of the Herb Lauffler Memorial Soccer Tournament to host Penn State-Behrend 6-0 on Saturday evening.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Morrisville's defensive unit held strong in the first half, holding the Lions scoreless until the 37' minute of play. Despite facing ten shots in in the first half of play, Penn State-Behrend held just a one-goal lead going into halftime.
- Penn State-Behrend doubled their lead early in the second half with a goal from Cameron Eckberg. Just over two minutes later, Eckberg extended the Lion's lead to 3-0.
- The hosts wouldn't look back, tallying three more goals to bring home the 6-0 victory.
- The Lions outshot Morrisville 24-5 and held a 9-2 advantage in the contest.
- Junior goalkeeper, Cody Welkley (North Rose, NY) recorded seven saves in all 90' minutes of action between the pipes for the Mustangs.

- SUNY Morrisville will compete in the second day of the HLM tournament tomorrow afternoon, against either Franciscan or Baldwin Wallace University at 4:00pm.
