Mustangs Return to Win Column, Down Oneonta 3-0

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs returned to the court for the first time in over a week.  Their diligence in practice paid off as Morrisville returned to the win column with a 3-0 victory over the Red Dragon from SUNY Oneonta.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • The Mustangs were able to remedy a seven game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the Red Dragons on Wednesday night.
  • Senior captain, Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) paced the offensive attack with a 15 kill performance. Florio also helped out on the defensive end, picking up six block assists.
  • Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) also added to the Morrisville offense with 10 kills.
  • Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) orchestrated the offense, tallying 32 assists on the evening.  Moore's serve game was also on point, as the sophomore setter picked up a match high 5 aces.
  • Defensively, Emily Huppee (Austin, Tex.) combined with Florio for six block assists.
  • Anna Salamino (Liverpool, N.Y.) anchored the back row, picking up 20 digs. 
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS

The Mustangs will host a tri-match on Saturday with former conference foes, SUNY Poly and Keuka College.  Morrisville will take on Poly for the second time this season at 11 AM and then Keuka at 3 PM.
