UTICA, N.Y. – Morrisville volleyball fell in three sets in a non-conference road match up with local rivals, the Utica Pioneers on Wednesday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Morrisville dropped the opening set despite a six kill performance from senior, Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.).
- The Mustangs played from behind throughout the second set, but rode a Florio's serve to get back within five points.
- Unfortunately, the Pioneers continued to force the Mustangs out of their offensive rhythm for a 25-20 second set win.
- The third set was just as unkind to Morrisville as the first two, falling 25-15.
- Florio and Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) led the way offensively, finishing with 12 and 11 kills respectively.
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS
Morrisville will head to the Nazareth College tournament on Friday and Saturday. The Mustangs will face off against the Knights from SUNY Geneseo at 5 PM on Friday. Saturday will feature tilts against Fredonia and RIT.
