Seniors Shine in Weeknight Sweep of Wildcats

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville Mustangs picked up a three set sweep on Thursday night against the Cazenovia Wildcats on Senior Night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • The Mustangs sent their seniors out in style in their final regular season home match against the Wildcats.
  • Morrisville posted a .416 hitting percentage across the three sets.
  • Senior Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.) paced both the offense and defense, picking up 14 kills to go along with 11 digs.
  • Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.) also tallied 14 kills while committing just one attack error.
  • Senior libero, Anna Salamino (Liverpool, N.Y.) continued to anchor the back row, picking up 10 digs while also cleanly receiving 12 serves.
  • Salamino also helped the Mustangs pick up points, putting away two aces on the night.
  • Siobhan Moore (Leyden, Mass.) and Hannah Taylor (Goshen, N.Y.) were efficient with their sets, combining for 43 assists.
  • The non-conference victory extends the Morrisville season win streak to 11.
NEXT UP FOR THE MUSTANGS

The Mustangs will turn their attention completely to United East play, hitting the road the next two weekends to wrap up their regular season.  This weekend's contests will be held at Penn State Berks.  Morrisville will square off with new conference addition, St. Mary's of Maryland at 1 PM on Saturday before taking on the host squad at 3 PM.
