MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs dropped a tough State Universities of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) series on Saturday night, falling in consecutive nights to the Buffalo State Bengals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Rick Eberhart (Lockport, N.Y.) scored his first goal of the season seven minutes into the contest to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.
- Buffalo State evened the score three minutes later with a put back off of a rebound.
- It was all Bengals from the 9:31 mark in the second through the 13:06 mark in the third as the visitors picked up five goals in that span.
- Down 6-1 headed into the last quarter of the third period, Eric Melso (Philadelphia, Pa.) gave the Mustangs a lift as he notched his 11th goal of the season. Jestin Somero (New Ipswich, N.H.) was credited with the assist.
- Before the contest, the Bengals and the Mustangs held a ceremonial puck drop; one of the evenings many events to help raise awareness about the dangers of driving while intoxicated. This is the second year in a row that the SUNY Morrisville men's ice hockey team has partnered with the Madison County Sheriff's Office and their STOP DWI program.

- Morrisville will remain at home for their next SUNYAC series as they face off against the SUNY Geneseo Knights. Friday night's game time is set for 7 PM, while Saturday's contest will begin at 4 PM.
