MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Mustangs returned to their State Universities of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) slate on Friday night. However, the visiting Buffalo State Bengals used efficient scoring on the power play to take the conference victory 7-1.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Bengals picked up a breakaway goal at the 2:46 mark in the first period to take the early 1-0 lead.
- Buffalo State followed that up with another even handed tally at the 11:07 mark.
- Down 2-0, the Mustangs were finally able to find the back of the net at the 3:11 mark in the second period. Aidan Conolly (Rochester, N.Y.) picked up the goal, his first of the season, to cut the lead in half.
- However, the Bengals capitalized on three straight power play opportunities to take a 5-2 lead.
- Buffalo added to that lead with two more goals in the back half of the third period.
WHAT'S NEXT
- Morrisville will look to rebound quickly as they host the Bengals again on Saturday night at 7 PM. The contest is also the annual STOP DWI awareness game in cooperation with Madison County.
