MORRISVILLE, NY – The Morrisville State field hockey team battled back from a six goal deficit after the opening half, but it wasn't enough as visiting St. Lawrence University claimed a 6-2 non-conference win over the Mustangs Wednesday night in Morrisville.

• The visiting St. Lawrence Saints posted four goals in the opening quarter and added two more before the half, as they collected a 6-2 non-conference win Wednesday evening in Morrisville over the host Mustangs.
• Morrisville State sophomore Grace Hanehan (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) collected the first tally of the season for the Mustangs, putting home the rebound at the 33:46 mark.
• The Mustangs who held the Saints scoreless in the third quarter, added another to their total seconds into the fourth quarter with Hanehan connecting with freshman Camberly VanValkenburg (Walton, N.Y.) for her first collegiate score.
• Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) collected the loss, despite a 10 save effort in three quarters of action.
• Taylor Manwarren (Eaton, N.Y.) appeared for the second quarter in cage for the Mustangs, turning away two.
• Mary Klecha (Greene, N.Y.) for the second time in as many games, collected a defensive save.
• McKenzie Haberl led St. Lawrence with four goals, two each in the first and second quarters.

• Morrisville State will travel to Hartwick College for an 11 a.m. contest against the Hawks, returning home to Drake Field on the 14^th.
