MORRISVILLE, NY – The Morrisville State men's soccer team hosted the Bombers of Ithaca College on Wednesday afternoon. Despite holding Ithaca scoreless for nearly thirty minutes of play, the Mustangs dropped an eventual 5-0 decision to the visitors.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
- The Bombers first struck at the 29:14 mark when Theo Scott played a ball into the middle of the box to a waiting Jon Kyriakidis, putting the ball away for a 1-0 advantage.
- The second Ithaca goal came off a misdirected ball off of a Mustang defender, finding its way to the back of the net with less than a minute to go in the first half, giving the Bombers a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
- The Bombers wasted no time coming out of the locker room at halftime, notching their third goal of the game just over a minute in to the second half. Theo Scott received a pass from Alex Leahy, putting the ball right past diving Mustang goalkeeper, Tyler Card (McGraw, NY).
- Ithaca saw two more goals to round out the game from Jack Monnes and Christian Schaffner, respectively.
- Card recorded seven saves in all 90' of action in goal for the Mustangs.
- Visiting Ithaca came into today's contest undefeated after just recently beating nationally ranked, Messiah College, who is currently ranked #5 in the country. With today's win, the Bombers remain undefeated at 3-0, while the Mustangs drop to 0-2 on the season.
WHAT'S NEXT:
- Morrisville State hits the road for their first away contest of the season on Saturday, taking on the Pioneers of Utica College. The game is slated to start at 11:00am.
