GENESEO, N.Y. – Host SUNY Geneseo extended their record to 8-2-0 Saturday afternoon as they topped visiting Morrisville State field hockey by a 8-0 final tally in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action in Geneseo.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Geneseo dominated play Saturday afternoon as they handed visiting Morrisville State field hockey an 8-0 SUNYAC loss in Geneseo.
• The Knights opened with an early 1-0 lead after posting their first tally nearly two minutes into the contest on a redirected shot to the near post.
• They followed with back-to-back scores to end the quarter with a 3-0 lead.
• In the second quarter, they added two more goals, increasing their advantage to 5-0 at the break, before collecting another three in the second half of action.
• The Mustang defense did everything they could to hold the Knights, posting a total 26 saves, two defensive stops by junior Mary Klecha (Greene, N.Y.) and Makayla Haven (Whitney Point, N.Y.).
• Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Dueber (Owego, N.Y.) turned away a season best 24 saves, after facing 34 shots.
• Geneseo held the 20-0 advantage in penalty corners.
