CANTON, N.Y. – The Morrisville State Women's Volleyball team dropped the night cap against the host St. Lawrence University Saints 0-3 on Friday night at the Canton Classic.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Mustangs took an early advantage in the first set behind another match opening ace from Amelia Baratier (Liverpool, N.Y.) and a strong attack from Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.), Brianna Gates (Eagle, Colo.), and Kirsten Florio (Wellsboro, Pa.).
- Morrisville held a 20-16 advantage in the first set until the Saints went on a six point run to turn the tables eventually ending in a 25-22 first set win for St. Lawrence.
- Unfortunately, the Mustangs could not gain any traction in the second and third sets, ultimately falling by set scores of 25-19 and 25-15.
- The Saints forced the Mustangs into 29 attack errors behind their dominant net presence which included 14 blocks on the night.
- Merrill picked up 10 kills to go along with 10 digs in the match.
WHAT'S NEXT
- The Mustangs will wrap up the Canton Classic against Hartwick College at 1 PM tomorrow afternoon at SUNY Canton.
