Box Score ABINGTON, Pa. – The Morrisville State College women's volleyball team picked up their fourth straight North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win Saturday afternoon, rolling to a three set match win over Bryn Athyn College in Abington, Pennsylvania.
The win lifts the Mustangs to 10-5 overall on the season, 4-1 in conference play. Bryn Athyn drops to 4-6, 1-3 in NEAC action.
Morrisville State topped the Lions by set scores of 25-7, 25-18, and 25-20 as collectively they threw down 29 kills across three sets and hit .288 on the day at the net.
Megyan Merrill (Millport, N.Y.) led the Mustangs with six kills, adding four digs while teammates Elycia Crittenden (Louisville, Ky.) and Amelia Baratier (Liverpool, N.Y.) each registered four.
Helena Hanes (St. Mary's, Pa.) and Kim Dunkleman (Williamsville, N.Y.) combined for 21 assists out of the team total 23, while Dunkleman served up four aces on the match.
Samantha Wolf (Liverpool, N.Y.) led the Mustangs defensive game with 16 digs across three sets.
Morrisville State dominated the first set, collecting 10 kills to the Lions three, before rattling off 11 more in the second set, compared to Bryn Athyn's two.
The Mustangs will play College of St. Elizabeth in the final of the day's action, before meeting host Penn St. Abington on Sunday.
