During his time on the bench at Clarkson, Ragno mentored goaltender Ethan Langeegger who was named the 2024-25 ECAC Goaltender of the Year following a first team all-star selection and 22-win season in net. This past season, Ragno mentored Division III transfer Shane Soderwall to a 17-win season, claiming weekly accolades three times as the ECAC Goaltender of the Week honoree.
Prior to joining the Golden Knights, Ragno was on staff at Stonehill College for a season as an assistant coach working with forwards, goaltenders and running penalty kill situations. Ragno also had a two-year stint with Brown University, serving as the goaltending coach for the women’s program, after getting a taste of Division III coaching as a goaltending coach the year prior at Trine University.
The 2018 Kent State University graduate has been active in player development since graduation, serving as the Vice President and Co-Founder of ETM Goaltending from 2018-22, the Director of Stop It Goaltending from 2022-24, a goaltending coach for Culver Academies from 2019-22 and associate head coach for the Fort Wayne Spacemen in the USPHL for a year.
Since 2022 Ragno has also served as the Associate Coach-in-Chief for USA Hockey in Rhode Island, where he has had responsibility for scheduling, organizing, promoting and administering clinics conducted as part of the Coaching Education Program.
Ragno is a USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach and is a Goaltending Gold Certification candidate for USA Hockey.
