Morrisville State volleyball will see a new face accompanying the team on the sidelines this season, as head coach Fred Wallace, announced the addition of Alexis Ritson to the coaching staff for the 2019 year.
"I am very excited to have Alexis Ritson join our volleyball family," Wallace commented.Â
"She brings a good amount of experience with her and is very knowledgeable about our sport, having played at Geneva College in Beaver, Pennsylvania and assisting the program last season."
Ritson spent a year on the sidelines at Geneva following her career with the Golden Tornadoes as a libero and defensive specialist. As assistant coach, Ritson was responsible for practice planning, scouting, summer camps and maintaining academic oversight over the student-athletes on the squad.
"Coach Ritson will be involved in all areas of our program, from recruiting and court duties to scouting opponents," said Wallace.
For two seasons prior to Ritson's stint with Geneva, she served as the head coach of the Infinity Volleyball Club in Ohio, coaching 18 National, 17 American and 14 American levels.
Ritson earned her bachelor of arts degree from Geneva in sociology in 2017 with a minor in business and math.
"We have had some excellent success here at Morrisville the last couple of years," Wallace said. "We are excited to see where 2020 leads us and how Coach Ritson helps us move forward as we chase even more success!"
