Prior to Morrisville State – Played for 11 years in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite program, qualifying for the National Tournament seven times…  Played high school hockey for four seasons at Freeport Area High School, receiving recognition as an Academic All-Star.

Other – 2019 graduate of Freeport Area High School.  Daughter of Barb Suran and David Burkett.
