Jordan Prior returns to the SUNY Morrisville men’s basketball sidelines in 2019-20 as assistant coach for the upcoming winter season.
Prior is no stranger to the Mustang basketball program, having spent two seasons in the green and white jersey during the most successful time in program history. During his time on the court, Prior played an instrumental role in leading Morrisville to back-to-back North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Titles, as well as appearances within the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.
Morrisville’s most notable appearance was during Prior’s senior season where he was the NEAC finals Most Valuable Player, leading the Mustangs to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight and a final national ranking of 22nd overall.
That same season the Cortland, N.Y. native was named to the NEAC first team All-Conference, ECAC Upstate Division III All-Star Team, and also garnered NABC Division III All-District First Team accolades.
Prior completed his career ranked second all-time in three-point field goals made in a single season, fifth in free throw percentage, tenth in career points, fifth in career three-point field goals made, and first in field goal percentage from behind the three-point line.
Prior continued his basketball career during the 2018-19 season, playing for the Binghamton Bulldogs (ABA) semi-professional team where they were the 2018 Regional Champions.
Prior majored in Resort and Recreation Management at SUNY Morrisville.
