MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has announced its SPRY Volleyball Players of the Week for action ending September 20, naming SUNY Morrisville's
Kylie Hutchinson (Liberty Hill, Texas) the Defensive Player of the Week for a second straight week.
Hutchinson led Morrisville defensively in a 3-1 week, collecting an average 3.76 digs per set, while also posting .35 service aces and .53 assists per set.
The junior posted a high 21 digs in the 3-2 match win over Nazareth, averaging 4.2 per set. In all, Hutchinson recorded 64 digs, had six service aces and nine assists in four matches that included wins over Nazareth, Delhi and St. John Fisher.
Hutchinson currently leads the league in digs with 210 to date on the season, an average of 4.29 per set.
