Morrisville stumbles on the road at Utica

UTICA, N.Y. – SUNY Morrisville freshman Ainslie Romasco (Corapolis, Pa.) posted a collegiate high 18 saves Tuesday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the visiting Mustangs fell 4-0 to Utica University in Utica.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Freshman Ainslie Romasco (Corapolis, Pa.) posted a collegiate high 18 saves Tuesday afternoon, including 11 in the opening half, but the effort fell short as host Utica University posted the 4-0 non-league win over Morrisville in Utica.
  • Utica collected their first of the afternoon 9:28 into the opening period, to claim the 1-0 lead.
  • The Pioneers added a second in the 39th minute for a 2-0 lead at the break.
  • Utica made it a 3-0 game at the 46:17 mark with a penalty kick goal after the foul in the box, wrapping up all scoring four minutes later with a second tally of the day from Adrianna Calabria.
  • Romasco had seven saves in the second half for Morrisville in their defensive efforts.
