UTICA, N.Y. – Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's soccer made a late comeback attempt Saturday afternoon on the road at host Utica University, but their efforts fell short as the Pioneers posted the 3-2 win in non-conference action.

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's soccer efforts fell short Saturday afternoon on the road at Utica University, despite a late rally, as the Pioneers posted the 3-2 non-league win over the Mustangs.
• Morrisville was the first to put one on the board, a long ball chipped into the lower left corner by Mamadou Diallo (Brooklyn, N.Y.) off the serve from Aaron Chapman (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) at the 41:29 mark.
• Utica, though, countered just over a minute later with one of their own, evening the contest at one at the break.
• The Pioneers claimed a 3-1 lead through the 72^nd minute with back-to-back tallies, but the Mustangs kept a persistent push offensively, breaking through in the 89thi minute as Chapman buried the header into the center of the goal off the long ball by Diallo.
• Morrisville's efforts down the stretch fell short, running out of time.
• Jonathan Tolpa (Holland Patent, N.Y.) recorded the loss in net, despite turning aside three in the contest.
• Utica's Cade Tavares and Cian LeVasseur split time in net, LeVasseur registering two stops.
