MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Morrisville men's lacrosse team hosted Oneonta Friday night, and after a slow start were unable to overcome the deficit and ultimately fall to the Red Dragons 21-5.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Morrisville struck first on a goal from Jason Tedeschi (Manlius, N.Y.), but Oneonta responded with a dominant scoring run, netting seven of the final eight goals to take a 7-1 lead after one.
• The Red Dragons continued to build their lead behind a strong offensive surge, while Noah Taylor (East Syracuse, N.Y.) tallied a pair of goals in the second to bring the score to 14-3 after the first half.
• Oneonta controlled possession throughout the third, adding another goal while limiting Morrisville's scoring chances to take a 15-3 lead into the final frame.
• Morrisville added late goals from Taylor and Dean Mohammed (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) but Oneonta maintained control, pulling away for a 21-5 final.
• Tayor led the Mustang offense with three goals and one assist, while Tedeschi and Mohammed each netted one a piece.
• In goal for the Mustangs, Blake Dunton (Middlesex, N.Y.), earned 11 saves in the loss.
• Oneonta was led by Thomas Hnis who scored five goals and recorded four assists, while goalkeeper Mark Restivo recorded 10 saves in the win.
