OSWEGO, N.Y. – Morrisville traveled to Oswego Saturday afternoon for their second SUNYAC matchup of the season, but the Mustangs would ultimately fall to the Lakers 19-2.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• The Mustangs struggled to find their offense early, conceding three unanswered goals to start the game, before Samantha Budney (Pine Bush, N.Y.), put Morrisville on the board, trailing 3-1 after the first.
• Oswego pulled away in the second, scoring five straight to build a commanding lead.
• Morrisville broke the run late with another tally from Budney, but still trailed 9-2 at the half.
• The Mustangs showed fight in the third but struggled to maintain possession, allowing six goals and falling behind 15-2 entering the fourth.
• Turnovers contributed to be the difference in the final quarter, as Oswego pulled away to secure the 19-2 victory.
• Budney led the offense for the Mustangs scoring two goals, while Anyssia Ingersoll assisted on one score.
• Haylie Buysse (Keene Valley, N.Y.) led the Morrisville defense with five ground balls and three caused turnovers, while goalkeeper Aniyah Smith (Grovetown, Ga.) recorded seven saves in the loss.
• Alexis Hill led the Lakers offense with four goals and five assists, while Alana Iacovissi earned the win with seven saves.
