MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville athletics department has announced its weekly award winners, naming sophomore outside hitter Morgan Barcone (Accord, N.Y.) and freshman goalkeeper Ainslie Romasco (Corapolis, Pa.) the Mustangs of the Week for action ending October 25.
 
Barcone played a key role for the volleyball team in a split in league action over the weekend. The sophomore collected a week best 16 kills in the five-set loss to Oneonta, where she added four digs and one assisted block to the Mustang efforts.
 
She followed with eight kills across three sets in the win over Delhi, adding three more blocks to her totals across the weekend to average 3.0 kills and .5 blocks per set.
 
Romasco backstopped the women's soccer team to a 1-1 week to wrap up the season, collecting a best 16 saves in the loss to Cortland midweek.
 
The freshman followed with four stops against Canton on Saturday, earning her fourth shut out victory of the season as Morrisville posted the 1-0 SUNYAC win.
