MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's ice hockey team resumed season action Saturday night on their home ice, with visiting Chatham University netting the 5-1 victory with a three-goal flurry in the third.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting Chatham University scored three unanswered tallies in the third period to hand host SUNY Morrisville men's hockey a 5-1 loss Saturday night on the Mustangs home ice in Morrisville in non-conference action.
• The Cougars scored twice in the first to open a 2-0 lead after one and Morrisville was able to keep them off the board until the third when Chatham posted back-to-back scores to set the Mustangs back 4-0.
• Chatham posted their second power play goal at the 6:40 mark of the third before adding an even strength tally less than a minute later, opening the gap to four.
• Morrisville was able to put one of their own on the scoreboard with a power play score from Connor Santay (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) who buried the wrister off the face off win from Tanner Dietz (Mitchell, Ont.) and Will Jones (Corbeil, Ont.) at the 13:55 mark, but the rally was stopped short as Chatham collected their third power play score of the night to seal with the win at 15:10.
• Chad Lowe (Auburn, N.Y.) registered 43 stops in the efforts in net for Morrisville, who was outgained 48-30 in shots on goal across the night.
• Cameron Kuntar had 29 saves in the win for the Cougars as five different teammates posted scores in the victory.
