ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Morrisville men's basketball team battled through 45 minutes of tightly contested action and ultimately pulled away to defeat Oneonta 79-77 in overtime.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• This SUNYAC matchup saw back and forth action in the first half as Morrisville led 35-34 at the half.
• The second half was no different as Oneonta was up 70-66 with just under two minutes remaining.
• A crucial and-one layup followed by four straight points all from Jalyn Moorehead (Rochester, N.Y.) saw Morrisville up by three points with less than 20 seconds left.
• Oneonta then rushed down the floor, making a last second three pointer to send the game to overtime.
• Overtime started slow but was ultimately defined by a game saving block from Bruce Wingate (Liverpool, N.Y.), and the clutch made free throws from the Mustangs.
• Morrisville was led by Moorehead who had 22 points, three assists and three steals.
• Avion Grainger (Syracuse, N.Y.) had a very well-rounded game for the Mustangs as he recorded seven points, four rebounds and five assists.
• Oneonta's Cam LaClair led the Red Dragons with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists.
• Nicholas Cortez also recorded 14 points and added five rebounds for Oneonta.
