Morrisville women shut out by Utica in non-conference match

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision on Friday afternoon to visiting Utica University, on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting Utica University scored the first of five opening half tallies just 10 minutes in and didn't look back as they collected the 5-0 non-conference win over host SUNY Morrisville Friday night on Drake Field.
  • After posting the first tally, Utica added three straight in eight minutes time to jump out ahead 4-0 before sealing the half with a fifth tally in the 39th minute.
  • Cheyenne Thomas (Beltsville, Md.) registered five stops in the loss in net for Morrisville, as Utica posted the 13-3 advantage in shots on the day.

  • Morrisville will return to the field Thursday at SUNY Delhi for a non-conference match on the Broncos pitch.
