MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host SUNY Morrisville men's ice hockey was able to hold visiting SUNY Potsdam scoreless in the first period, but the Bears rallied for five straight scores across the final two to top the Mustangs by a 5-1 final in Morrisville in SUNYAC play Saturday night.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville men's hockey was able to hold visiting Potsdam scoreless through the first period Saturday night in SUNYAC action, but the Bears collected five straight scores to down the hosts 5-1 on the Mustangs home ice.
• Potsdam opened the second period with a score just 41 seconds in to put the first of five on the board, adding a second at the six minute mark, followed by a third second period tally at 9:19.
• The Bears extended their lead to 4-0 nearly four minutes into the third, and added a fifth score at 9:03 for the commanding lead, but the Mustangs were able to avoid the shut out with a late score of their own.
• Ryan Glazer (Montreal, Que.) collected the rebound and sniped it over the pads of the Bears netminder at 17:41 of the third to put one on the board for the hosts.
• Maxim Maziarchuk (Staten Island, N.Y.) and Tyler Zembrzycki (East Islip, N.Y.) were credited with the assists.
• Will Goumas (Brampton, Ont.) registered 35 saves in the loss in 49 minutes of action, before Jeff Dreger (Senoia, Ga.) finished out the remainder 11, turning aside four.
