NORTHFIELD, VT. – The SUNY Morrisville women's hockey team dropped a 3-1 non-conference bout to host Norwich University Friday night, netting their lone goal in the second period in Northfield, Vermont.

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's hockey fell in non-conference action Friday evening on the road at Norwich University, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Cadets.
• The hosts took a 1-0 lead midway through the opening period before Morrisville's Alexa Spiers (Smithtown, N.Y.) netted the equalizer, unassisted, at the 12:09 mark of the second.
• Norwich, though, went on to post back-to-back tallies in three minutes time, to carry a 3-1 lead into the final period of play where both teams were unable to add to their totals.
• Sydney Canham (Rochester, N.Y.) registered the loss in net, appearing for 59 minutes while collecting 47 total saves across the night.
• Twenty-seven of her game total stops came in the second period alone.
