Morrisville volleyball bows out of SUNYAC tournament at New Paltz

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team concluded the 2025 season Tuesday night on the road at third ranked SUNY New Paltz in the first round of the SUNYAC Championship Tournament, as the Hawks captured the 3-0 match win in New Paltz.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • The sixth seeded SUNY Morrisville women's volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 season slate Tuesday evening in SUNYAC Championship action, falling to third seeded SUNY New Paltz by a 3-0 match final at the Hawk Center in New Paltz.
  • The hosts took the 1-0 match lead after a 25-21 set win over the Mustangs in the first, extending the lead to 2-0 with a convincing 25-13 victory in the second set.
  • New Paltz posted the win with a 25-22 edge in the third to take the match 3-0.
  • Isabella Eskierka (Amery, Wisc.) led the attack efforts for Morrisville with 11 kills, while teammate Samantha Siedlecki (Thorton, Colo.) added three.
  • Cassandra Bellmore (Windsor, N.Y.) recorded 16 assists in the efforts.
  • Defensively, Siedlecki, Autumn Dailey (Smyrna, N.Y.) and Samantha Mehler (Cummings, Ga.) made three blocks apiece at the net, while Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) collected 14 digs.
  • Eskierka also put forth a defensive effort with 13 digs across the match.
  • Nora Keating led the New Paltz offensive attack with nine kills as the team outgained Morrisville .154 in hitting percentage to the Mustangs .009 across the match.
 
 
WHAT'S NEXT:
 
  • Morrisville concludes the season with a 14-13 overall record, posting a 4-5 league slate and making their second straight appearance in the SUNYAC tournament.
