Morrisville men play to two goal draw with Oswego

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Host Oswego State posted a late tying score to force the two goal draw with visiting SUNY Morrisville men's soccer Saturday afternoon in SUNYAC play in Oswego.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's soccer played to a two goal draw Saturday afternoon with host Oswego State in league action at the Laker Turf Stadium in Oswego.
  • Both teams exchanged scores in the first half of play, with Oswego posting the early 1-0 lead with the games first strike just 3:39 in following a turnover in the Mustangs defensive end.
  • Nearly six minutes later, Toreed Adeyemi (Bronx, N.Y.) collected the throw in and found an open Christ Fopossi Tchuente (Bronx, N.Y.), who nailed the shot from outside the top of the box to even the contest at one.
  • Morrisville broke the tie in the 65th minute of the game with a score from Dejuan Bailey (Hudson, N.Y.) inside the left post after Pedro Oliviera (Baraga, Portugal) played the thru ball forward to the foot of Bailey.
  • Morrisville maintained the one goal lead until the 80th minute when Oswego beat Mustang goalkeeper Ronaldo Fatolou (New York, N.Y.) with the one-timer under the cross bar just outside the six.
  • Oswego had a final look at the net in the closing minute of the game, but Fatolou saved the bottom right shot to prevent the score and secure the tie.
  • Fatolou finished with six saves in the tie.

  • Morrisville will return home Wednesday to host SUNY New Paltz at 4 p.m. on Drake Field.
