MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville field hockey team scored once in each the second, third and fourth quarters of non-league action Friday afternoon, as they downed visiting Nazareth University 3-1 in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville field hockey picked up a 3-1 non-league win over visiting Nazareth University Friday afternoon in Morrisville, netting one in each quarter of action after a scoreless first frame.
• Nazareth put the first tally on the board of the day nearly 13 minutes into the opening quarter, but Morrisville's Jazlyn Leet (Richford, N.Y.) countered at 21:31 with a blast from the top of the circle to even the score at one.
• Minutes into the third quarter, Morrisville took the lead with a blast from Kylee Noyes (Castle Creek, N.Y.) who fired the ball from the left wing on the penalty corner insert from Melissa Beaver (Granville, N.Y.).
• Beaver extended the host lead with one of her own in the fourth quarter, chipping in the short cross in front of cage from Julie Tomcho (Morrisville, N.Y.) to secure the win.
• Emmaly Noeller (Canastota, N.Y.) recorded the win in cage, turning aside 10 as Morrisville improved to 2-3 overall.
• Kate Walters (Fayetteville, N.Y.) assisted the defensive efforts for the Mustangs collecting a defensive save to stop a Nazareth score.
