BANGOR, ME – The SUNY Morrisville women's lacrosse team dropped their first league contest of the season, battling back and forth with host Husson University by a 13-11 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) final in Bangor, Maine.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Visiting SUNY Morrisville women's lacrosse trailed 8-5 at the break before staging a back-and-forth battle in the second half, but fell short in the closing minutes as host Husson University escaped with a 13-11 league win in Bangor.
• Morrisville registered five goals in the third to send the game into the final quarter tied at 10.
• A goal from Husson midway through the quarter broke the tie and gave the hosts the one goal edge, before Anyssia Ingersoll (Mexico, N.Y.) pulled the contest even with her woman-up goal.
• A strike from Husson with 4:52 to go put them back out in front by one, before they sealed the win with 1:14 remaining with their third of the frame.
• Ingersoll and Alana McDonald (Potsdam, N.Y.) each posted four goals in the Mustang efforts, McDonald adding an assist and two draw controls.
• Ingersoll collected 10 ground balls to go along with seven caused turnovers and six draws.
• Rebecca Thomas (Marcy, N.Y.) recorded four saves in the loss in net, snagging six ground balls.
