MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse team fell to visiting SUNY Oneonta Saturday by a 16-9 final score in non-conference action, as the Red Dragons used a six goal fourth quarter to push past the Mustangs on Drake Field in Morrisville.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Host SUNY Morrisville men's lacrosse fell to an 0-3 start on the season as visiting SUNY Oneonta used a six goal final quarter to push past the Mustangs in Saturday's non-conference affair on Drake Field in Morrisville.
• Morrisville opened the scoring just a minute into the contest, but Oneonta would hold the slight 3-2 edge after the first quarter.
• A five goal second found the Mustangs trailing 8-3 at the break, but Morrisville battled back in the third to pull within four after three quarters of action.
• Oneonta notched three tallies early on in the fourth to open the gap to seven, but Morrisville cut the lead to five, before the Red Dragons sealed the win with a six goal frame.
• Dean Mohammed (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.)  led the Mustangs with three goals, two that he collected in the final quarter in a comeback attempt, while fellow teammate Dante Patriarco (Cortland, N.Y.) added two to go along with an assist for a three-point day.
• Curtis Robitaille (Endwell, N.Y.) also notched two scores, while fellow teammates Michael Avgenikos (Cazenovia, N.Y.) and Chris Stancarone (Levittown, N.Y.) added one apiece.
• Kyan Dohn (East Brunswick, N.J.) had a two-point day with two assists.
• Zach Nestor (Manlius, N.Y.), Nathan Weise (Rochester, N.Y.), and John Carter (Kirkville, N.Y.) each registered an assist.
• Weise recorded the loss in net, posting a 16 save effort across the contest.
• Griffin English (Big Flats, N.Y.) led the defensive effort for the Mustangs with five ground balls and three caused turnovers.
• Jamie O'Neill led Oneonta with eight goals and an assist, while fellow teammate Thomas Hnis added four scores and assisted two others.
• Harrison Boukas had 17 saves in the win in cage for the Red Dragons.
