Second half pushes Morrisville men past Delhi for win

DELHI, N.Y. – Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's basketball poured in 46 second half points Tuesday evening behind a 57% effort from the floor, handing host SUNY Delhi the 88-73 non-conference loss in Delhi.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
  • Visiting SUNY Morrisville men's basketball shot 51% from the floor throughout the non-conference contest with host SUNY Delhi Tuesday night, registering the 88-73 win on the road in Delhi.
  • Three collected double figures for the Mustangs, including Kareem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) who led the way with 18 points, adding four rebounds and two assist to his totals, while hitting 9-of-11 shots from the floor on the night.
  • Chris Merilus (Nyack, N.Y.) added 11 points, while Jalyn Moorehead (Rochester, N.Y.) collected 13 off the bench.
  • Twelve total players contributed to the scoring for the Mustangs in the team effort, including eight from Jon Corl (Bridgeport, N.Y.) who also had six rebounds to go along with two assists.
  • CJ McCullum (Bronx, N.Y.) dished out a team high five assists, while collecting two steals and six boards as well.
  • Morrisville led 42-41 at the break before opening with a 14-0 run in the first four minutes of the second half to open the gap to 13 over the hosts.
  • The Mustangs increased their lead to as many as 20, and Delhi was unable to overcome the deficit as Morrisville earned the road win.
  • Morrisville got 38 points in play off the bench, with a total 46 that came with play in the paint or on the fast break.
