MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's soccer team battled to a scoreless draw for 87 minutes of action Saturday, but a final strike by the visiting Potsdam Bears handed the hosts the 1-0 SUNYAC loss as they conclude the 2024 season.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• SUNY Morrisville men's soccer battled visiting Potsdam State in SUNYAC play Saturday afternoon on Drake Field in Morrisville, but it was the Bears strike in the 88^th minute that handed the Mustangs the heartbreaking 1-0 loss in the season finale.
• Playing to a scoreless bout for a majority of the contest, Potsdam's Justin Mossey placed the short header behind the Mustangs defense finding Jayson Viola who had the strike into the right side of the net for the winning tally at the 87:35 mark.
• Senior Caleb Lucero (Syracuse, N.Y.) recorded the loss in net, making nine stops in the efforts for the Mustangs who fell to 1-6-2 overall on the year in SUNYAC play.
• Potsdam's James Kelm had two stops for the Bears to record the win.
