MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's soccer team picked up a 2-1 SUNYAC win Wednesday afternoon, with a pair of freshmen netting the Mustangs tallies on Drake Field in Morrisville.

• Host SUNY Morrisville women's soccer came back from a one goal deficit at the half, topping visiting SUNY Canton by a 2-1 final score Wednesday afternoon in Morrisville.
• The win is the first for the Mustangs in league action, as a pair of freshmen lifted the hosts to the victory.
• Canton put the first tally of the contest on the board in the 35^th minute to carry the one goal advantage into the break after Chamonix Jackson collected the loose ball off the mishandle by the defense for the scoring shot from the center of the box.
• The advantage held until the 46:41 mark when Lily Hunter (Pulaski, N.Y.) had a breakaway and buried the ball from just inside the box for the game tying score.
• The game was locked at one until the 78^th minute, when Ella Congdon (Canastota, N.Y.) played the loose ball within the six-yard box inside the left post for the go-ahead goal, and eventual win.
• Kayle Roberts (Deansboro, N.Y.) earned the win in net, posting five saves, including one in the final minutes of the contest to secure the victory.
• Skylar Williams had 10 stops in goal for Canton in the loss.

• Morrisville will be on the road for their final three contests of the season, traveling to Cortland Saturday, before wrapping up the regular season schedule with bouts at Fredonia on Oct. 23 and Potsdam on Oct 26.
