POTSDAM, N.Y. – Seniors Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) and Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, Tex.) combined for 42 kills Friday night to lead visiting SUNY Morrisville volleyball to a 3-1 match win over host SUNY Potsdam in SUNYAC action in Potsdam.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• Senior Kayci Olson (Cortland, N.Y.) posted a match high 22 kills Friday night and fellow outside hitter Emily Huppee (Liberty Hill, Tex.) added another 20 as they led visiting SUNY Morrisville volleyball to a 3-1 match win over host SUNY Potsdam on the road in Potsdam.
• The win is the fourth straight for the Mustangs, who improve to 3-0 within SUNYAC play.
• Morrisville opened the match with a narrow 25-23 set one win, before Potsdam evened the score edging the Mustangs 26-24 in the second.
• Morrisville regained the match lead after a 26-24 victory in the third set, and put the game away in the fourth with a dominating 25-16 set score.
• Huppee added three assists and an ace to her totals before contributing a block and 14 digs to the defensive game for the Mustangs.
• Samantha Mehler (Cumming, Ga.) stepped up for the Mustangs at the net and collected nine kills, also posting two blocks, while libero Kayla Sheasby (Hood River, Ore.) added 24 digs to go along with 10 assists.
• Cassandra Bellmore (Windsor, N.Y.) put up a collegiate high 42 assists, adding 12 digs, and three kills, with fellow freshman Kylie Hutchinson (Liberty Hill, Tex.) adding 11 digs to go along with three service aces.
