Mustangs Make It 10 In A Row



Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville men's basketball team picked up a big conference win on Friday night as the Mustangs took down the Broncos 92-73.  The Mustangs picked up their 10th win in a row and their 5th conference win in a row.

  • Team Scores: Morrisville 92, Delhi 73
  • Location: Student Activities Center, Morrisville, N.Y.
  • Records: Morrisville 11-2, 5-0 NAC, Delhi 6-5, 2-1 NAC
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
  • The Mustangs would win the first half 48-38 and would go on a big run late in the second half to win the half 44-35.
  • Morrisville's offense would stay strong as they would shoot 53% in the first half and then would shoot 50% in the second half while shooting 75% from the free throw line in the game (21-28)
  • On offense the Mustangs would be led by Jakhi Lucas (Rochester, N.Y.) who finished with 28 points – going 10-10 at the free throw line.  Lucas would also lead the Mustangs with 9 rebounds and 5 assists to go along with his 3 steals.
  • Kareem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) and Jacob Works (Liverpool, N.Y.) would both score in double figures for the Mustangs as Sanders would score 12 points while Works scored 10 points.  Sanders would also lead the Mustangs with 4 steals on the day.
  • Brandon Kulakowski (Brewerton, N.Y.) had a strong game for the Mustangs as he shot 6-8 from the field, 2-3 from the three, and 3-7 from the free throw line for 17 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
  • Shaheem Sanders (Schenectady, N.Y.) scored 9 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, while TJ Olver (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and Nokio Kennedy (Yonkers, N.Y.) would come off the bench and play key roles for the Mustangs as Oler scored 6 points and Kennedy scored 5 points.
