Morrisville, N.Y. – The SUNY Morrisville women's basketball team dropped their first game of the 2024 year as the Knights took down the Mustangs 92-61.  The Mustangs would play strong in the second half as they would outscore the Knights 44-41.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The Mustangs would outscore the Knights 44-41 in the second half as they would shoot 50% from the field and 46% from the three-point line.
• Hannah Bonczkowski (Otego, N.Y.) led the Mustangs in scoring as she scored a career high 24 points to go along with her career high 6 three pointers made.
• Brooke Hammersley (Weedsport, N.Y.) also scored in double figures for the Mustangs as she finished with 19 points to go a long with her team leading 2 blocks and 3 steals.  Hammersley shot 5-7 from the field, 3-4 from the three-point line, and 6-6 from the free throw line.
• Abbie Platt (Oneonta, N.Y.) shot 2 for 3 from the field for 5 points for the Mustangs to go along with her 3 rebounds. 
• Anna Neufeld (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) would come off the bench and lead the Mustangs with 5 rebounds, while teammate Brooke Calvert (Aztec, N.M.) led the team with 3 steals.
